Alabama made a big mistake. When looking for a replacement opponent, don’t call Davidson. Bob McKillop is one of the most respected coaches in the business and his teams are disciplined and do ALL THE LITTLE THINGS RIGHT. Alabama wasn’t prepared for that. Davidson controlled the pace, they hit their 3-point shots, they screened off the ball, and they upset the 10th ranked team. That said, Alabama has another big problem…their DEFENSE. The Tide has been ONE OF THE NATION’S BEST DEFENSIVE TEAMS under Nate Oats. They are not right now. They were not against Memphis. If they don’t get the defense corrected by March (or by either Auburn game)…this team will not reach its potential. It is time to earn some HARD HATS.
