The 5 Quarterback Battle to be QB-1 is down to just 4 now because Dematrius Davis has hit the transfer portal. There is no shock that the former 4-Star recruit was going to leave at some point. When Bo Nix left, Dee Davis didn’t factor into the Birmingham Bowl as expected. When Bryan Harsin was faced with a QB Battle going into Spring…he brought in Texas A&M transfer Nick Calzada and Oregon transfer Robby Ashford. The writing was on the wall for Davis and he hopes to follow in another Auburn QBs footsteps. Next month Malik Willis will be a 1st Round Draft Pick in The NFL Draft after never really getting a shot at Auburn. Dee Davis will have 4 seasons to try to repeat the process. Surely, Auburn can’t miss twice on 1st Round QB talent. – Jim Dunaway
