The World Games Opening Ceremony is Thursday night down at Protective Stadium. The Artist lineup includes Nelly, Alabama, Shelia E, and many more. The Gates open at 6:00 pm, with a pre-Ceremony beginning at 7:30 pm and The Official Opening Ceremony starting at 8:00 pm. Our advice is to ARRIVE EARLY. The city has been planning this event for 7 years and they have constructed The World Games Plaza outside of Protective Stadium. That includes a beautiful new walking area under the newly constructed interstates (it is better than it sounds). We also recommend parking and using The “Ride The Line” Public Transportation.
