I had a great time with Coach Nick Saban on his radio show last night. I never take these moments for granted. A little kid from Alabaster who on occasion has shared time with one of the greatest to do his job. I’m thankful for the opportunities and thankful that over the last few years, I’ve been able to put aside my anxiety of small talk and conversation, and actually enjoy being in the moment. There was a time, I would dread these type of encounters for days before the event. It has always been a mental thing for me. It could be speaking to a Church group, reading to a class, or sitting with the Alabama Football Coach. It really impacted my mental and physical health. Odd I know for a guy in my business. But I bet I’m not the only one. I’ve talked a lot about it over the last few years and that seems to help. All that to say, I’m thankful for last night. Thankful to Nick, Eli and Tom. And thankful that my brain could get out of the way to allow me to enjoy these moments a little more.
