No. 10 Alabama hosts Florida State on Saturday in Tuscaloosa, and the Crimson Tide defense will see a quarterback it knows very well.

Florida State quarterback Ashton Daniels played for Auburn in 2025 and started against Alabama in the Iron Bowl, throwing for 259 yards while adding 108 rushing yards in Auburn’s 27-20 loss.

Now Daniels returns to the state of Alabama wearing garnet and gold. Through Florida State’s first two games of 2026, Daniels has thrown for 327 yards and two touchdowns while adding 101 rushing yards and two more scores.

Can Kalen DeBoer and the Crimson Tide defense contain Daniels’ dual-threat ability again? And can Alabama continue building momentum after its 45-17 SEC road win at Kentucky?

Auburn is 2-0 under Alex Golesh after beating Baylor 17-16 and Southern Miss 43-8, but is the Tigers’ passing game getting enough explosive production from its wide receivers?

Byrum Brown bounced back against Southern Miss with 226 passing yards and two touchdown passes, while Chas Nimrod caught a career-high seven passes for 52 yards and De’Shawn Spencer recorded his first career touchdown catch.
