“Football School,” “Basketball School,” etc. You’ve heard it before…fans claiming to be dominant in this sport or that. Alabama has been the “Gymnastics School” during my career, but Auburn started to close the gap in the past decade. This year, Auburn looks in their rearview mirror to see Alabama at The Gymnastics National Championship Meet. The Tigers advanced to The Final Four, while Alabama was left in the Elite 8. Auburn will battle Florida, Oklahoma, and Utah for The National Championship at noon central on ABC Saturday. It was a good year for Alabama. It has been a great year for Auburn, and by Saturday Night, it could be “The Greatest Year.” It helps when you have Olympic Gold Medalist Suni Lee winning a National Championship on the beam. Her leadership may help the team to the top of the podium soon as well. – Jim Dunaway
