Bill Clark takes his UAB Football team back into Protective Stadium Saturday at 1:00pm. The Blazers are coming off one of their biggest wins ever, beating #13 BYU in The Independence Bowl. The version we will see Saturday, and in the 2022 Season, is once again stacked with talent. The QB Room has incumbent Dylan Hopkins, Baylor Transfer Jacob Zeno (he’ll get first-team reps with Hopkins out Saturday), and Bryson Lucero. Clark has a deep RB Room that will run behind 4 returning starters on the OL. Trea Shropshire is back as one of the more productive WRs in CFB. The big takeaway from the Spring Practices at UAB is simple, we may once again call this one of the most dangerous Bill Clark teams to date. – Jim Dunaway
