Zach Calzada will have season-ending surgery. Zach Calzada has yet to play in a game for Auburn. Fans, and media, are starting to wonder if Calzada was his “MOST” Committed to Auburn when the above photo dropped the day he committed to Auburn. Slowed by an injury from last season when he arrived, Zach never got a real shot at the starting job. Reports of another quirky non-football injury buzzed all camp. Then Saturday, when he was dressed and actually looked good throwing in warmups, he never played. Even as Auburn burned around him on National TV. That was a Coaching Decision. The season-ending surgery is a personal one that I can’t blame him for doing. Days turn into Months which turn into Years quickly. He may have one more shot to be a starting QB at a major college and he needs to be completely healthy. Now we’ll wait and see if that shot is at Auburn or somewhere else. – Jim Dunaway
