I really enjoyed the weekend. I got to watch UAB Basketball battle to the final seconds with North Texas. Then on Sunday, I rolled into Protective Stadium to watch pro soccer (picture above). The friendly with MLS Power Atlanta United was awesome. Sure the Legion FC lost 4-0, but the venue was perfect (especially when the lights were turned on). This move by our USL soccer team to Protective is perfect. It just feels bigger and the fans will enjoy it so much more. I can’t wait to spend some summer nights downtown.
