It is amazing that Ole Miss won The National Championship Sunday. Amazing on several fronts. First, The Rebs were the last team to get selected for the tournament. Last team in, Last team standing. The other side of the coin is what it means to their rivals. I had said all along if Ole Miss won it…it would remind me of Auburn winning a National Championship in football back in 2010. One year after Nick Saban had returned Alabama to the top of College Football, Cam Newton and Auburn answered. Mississippi State finally got their Championship last year…one year later, Ole Miss claps back. Alabama followed up Auburn’s title with National Championships in 2011, 2012, 2015, 2017, and 2020. It is Hotty Toddy’s time to celebrate, but Hail State would like to swing back. – Jim Dunaway
