The best run play last night in Auburn wasn’t by either team, it was by GameDay Ops and The Auburn Students. During the under 4 Timeout, when the music cranked out the familiar opening notes to Kung Fu Fighting and every student stood, frozen in their Crane Kick pose, it was a classic. I don’t understand how a basketball team can be held to pay for a football team’s celebration, but that is for another discussion. The execution was perfect. The moment carried over to post game celebrations when the Head Coach was doing The Crane Pose on National TV, and then grabbing a broom. (SEE IT HERE) You wanted meaningful basketball games in this state, you got them. It felt like we turned a corner last night, and the friendly Bruce and Nate public collaboration to “Make Basketball Great Again” has turned into a good old fashion rivalry…and that is how you Make Basketball Great Again. – Dunaway
