This picture is so perfect. I love College Football because of the atmosphere. A team going into the most hostile setting trying to win the day. Saturday was my first day back in a full stadium since the pandemic season. Man it felt good. I teared up during Week 1 of the season, watching from home at all the big crowds and the returning traditions. They were happy tears. This weekend in Tuscaloosa brought no tears. Just one big party that started Friday during our show and ended about 2:00am this morning (Tuesday). I apologize for the bags under my eyes today but I had dinner and too much wine with one of the best storytellers in football history. I will not name drop (I’ll save that for Brown) but the guy had me spitting wine thru my nose. Football. Friendship. Life. I’m not a young guy anymore, but I think I’m doing a better job at “living life”. It has always been a mental struggle for me to just let go and have fun. Maybe it was the pandemic, maybe its age. I know this, I appreciate these times more now than ever.
