Auburn did it! Butch Thompson has Auburn in The College World Series for the second time in three years. Typical preseason expectations for a successful Auburn season, the experts didn’t expect too much. The experts were wrong, again. Butch can coach, and he’s got a staff who knows the game and loves Auburn. Tim Hudson could be a future Hall of Fame Pitcher. Gabe Gross spent a decade in pro baseball. They have some interesting parts to play with, including Sonny DiChiara who has the power, and the combo of Carson Skipper and Blake Burkhalter out of the bullpen. It all works, and Auburn joins Texas A&M, Arkansas, and Ole Miss to make up half of the field in Omaha. Safe travels to everyone making the trip, it should be fun. – Jim Dunaway
