Let me clear something up, I don’t think football officials (or basketball, etc.) are perfect or even close to it. I have always had the philosophy that you have to PLAY TO A STANDARD WHERE A BAD CALL or a series of bad calls cannot change the game’s outcome. Did I think the flag was late Saturday, video shows that it was. Did I think it was targeting on Bryce, I did, actually more than once. I ALSO THOUGHT THAT ALABAMA’S SECONDARY WAS LOST and couldn’t keep up with Tennessee’s 3rd best WR. I also thought some of the 17 PENALTIES were just mental softness. I also thought the WRs and RBs had some KEY DROPS. I also KNOW THAT A SPECIAL TEAMS BLUNDER gave Tennessee another TD. I also believe that the greatest Linebackers in CFB could have pressured Hendon Hooker more. I also believe the coaches could have milked the clock, kicker made a kick, etc. MY POINT, do one or two of ANY OF THOSE THINGS, and you overcome officiating, atmosphere, and a really good football team on the road in The SEC. Everything else is just excuses and trying to find a scapegoat for mistakes. – Jim Dunaway
