The Big 12 Conference leaders are meeting this week to discuss how they will format a 14-team football Conference. If they force Texas and Oklahoma to stay until 2025. All this is because of News yesterday that UCF, Cincinnati, and Houston will buy their way out of The AAC early and officially join The Big 12 on July 1, 2023. BYU doesn’t need a buyout to join them because they are an Independent. That gives you 14 teams. So choices need to be made, Divisions or No Divisions? 8 or 9 League Games? etc. The rest of the story is about Texas and Oklahoma. When do they come to The SEC? Without a massive payout to The Big 12, that is likely not until June of 2025, for the 2025 season. I think a payout is coming and hope this is the last season in limbo, waiting on The Horns and Sooners. – Jim Dunaway
