The SEC’s Receiving Leaders Through Week 5

The SEC’s Receiving Leaders Through Week 5

No. 5 Ryan Williams: 15 REC, 238 YDS, 2 TD, 79.3 YPG

Alabama wide receiver, Ryan Williams, has been very up and down this season. As he also was last season. Williams has struggled with drops and some people question his reliability. But what he lacks in reliability, he makes up for in big plays, in big moments, Williams is very talented, yet I think if he can work on consistency then he would probably be higher on this list.

No. 4 O’Mega Blake: 30 REC, 399 YDS, 3 TD, 79.8 YPG

O’Mega Blake is kind of a new guy on the scene in the SEC and Arkansas is certainly taking advantage of that. I think Blake has surprised a lot of people with his talent. Blake was only a 3 star recruit out of high-school and was a 4 star recruit out of the transfer portal, yet he is playing like a 5 star. Having Arkansas quarterback Taylen Green is also elevating Blake’s game and I think people will be shocked to see how this lethal duo prevails throughout the remainder of the season.

No. 3 KC Concepcion: 20 REC, 340 YDS, 3 TD, 85 YPG

As expected, KC Concepcion has been fantastic for the Aggies so far. Concepcion was the 5th overall receiver in the transfer portal out of NC state and he fits perfectly in this offense, and is a big part of the reason why Texas A&M is 4-0. I look forward to this guy continuing to find success this season.

No. 2 Chris Brazzell II: 31 Rec, 531 YDS, 7 TD, 106.2 YPG

Tennessee’s stud wide receiver, Chris Brazell II, is a force to be reckoned with. Both him and Joey Aguilar (Tennessee QB) have been huge transfers for this program. It’s no secret who Aguilar’s favorite target is in the red zone when you notice that Brazzell has more than double the touchdowns than any other player on this list. I expect Brazzell to lead the Vols to new heights this season, especially having a guy like Joey Aguilar throwing to him.

No. 1 Mario Craver: 24 REC, 477 YDS, 4 TD, 119.3 YPG

There’s a guy down in Texas right now that is absolutely making a name for himself. Texas A&M’s star wide receiver Mario Craver has been killing defenses with his speed and agility. The guy simply refuses to go down. If you go back and watch the Aggies’ games. You’ll notice that Craver almost always has 2-3 massive plays and you just can’t stop it. You can even make the argument that he single handedly beat Notre Dame in a very close game. I think that Texas A&M’s entire offense is upgraded just by Mario Cravers’ new found threat that he poses against all defenses.
