I was asked what winning a divisional championship would “mean” for The Legion FC Soccer Club Saturday. Easy answer, EVERYTHING. The Legion FC has been built like a championship organization from Day 1. Even the story behind The Shield, The Sparks, and the phrase Hammer Down. Soccer Clubs Big and Small have a way of becoming a bond in communities all over the world and Jay Heaps and the ownership group in Birmingham have made sure that the Legion FC story will be one that will last for generations. A Division Championship or if you dare to dream, raising the USL Cup would be validation. Proof that the plan is working. That the Championship Attitude is more than just a mindset, it would be the harvest. So what would a win Saturday mean…everything.
