Auburn quarterback Bo Nix was one of college football’s first high-profile players to announce a name, image and likeness sponsorship on July 1 as he announced a partnership with Milo’s Tea. This prompted many Alabama fans to respond negatively to a product they had consumed for many years as a staple around the state.
Milo’s responded with an endorsement with Alabama defensive back Malachi Moore who is entering his second year in Tuscaloosa.
Yes, we love a quarterback. But you know that we’re a divided family, right? We’re also proud to partner with @malachi_moore13 – who plays defense for our other favorite team. ? #DrinkMilos #MilosMoments pic.twitter.com/txwv3GodR4

Nix and Moore played high school football near each other as Nix played for Pinson Valley and Moore played for Hewitt-Trussville.
Moore picked off Nix last year in the Iron Bowl near the end of the first half to stop an Auburn drive and leave the score at 21-3 Alabama. The Tide would go on to win 42-13 en route to their 18th national championship later in the season.
