Danny Kanell joins The Next Round for a wide-ranging college football conversation covering Florida State’s mounting pressure on Mike Norvell, Alabama quarterback Keelon Russell, the latest LSU injury-report drama, Oklahoma QB John Mateer, Mississippi State breakout Kamario Taylor, Oregon’s veteran roster and much more.
The conversation begins with Kanell’s former program, Florida State, where frustration has reached a boiling point. The Seminoles are coming off a 27-24 home loss to SMU, and fans were heard booing head coach Mike Norvell and chanting for his firing. Florida State then made a major administrative change by parting ways with athletic director Michael Alford ahead of FSU’s trip to Tuscaloosa to face Alabama.
