Texas just delivered one of the wildest comebacks in college football history — and the College Football Playoff race may already look completely different.
The No. 3/4 Texas Longhorns erased a 20-point fourth-quarter deficit to stun No. 1 Ohio State, 24-23, in Austin. Arch Manning helped ignite a 21-0 fourth-quarter run, Hollywood Smothers scored twice, and the Texas defense shut out the Buckeyes over the final 15 minutes to complete a historic comeback.
What does the loss mean for Ohio State’s College Football Playoff hopes, especially with Oregon also going down? And after a massive early-season win, should Texas now be viewed as the team to beat nationally?
