Will Anderson is The National Defensive Player of The Year. That’s not news to Alabama fans, but the Tide Linebacker got the Bronco Nagurski Award Monday Night making it official. He’s only the second Alabama player to win the award, the other was Jonathan Allen in 2016. The numbers would suggest EVERY Alabama Defense under Nick Saban has had one of the nation’s best defensive players. Bama has had 9 Nagurski Finalist in 9 of the last 11 seasons. Few dominate like Anderson. He leads the nation is Sacks and Tackles for Loss…that after being the FWAA 2020 Freshman Defensive Player of The Year. Alabama goes for the rare sweep of the top 2 awards Saturday when Bryce Young should take home The Heisman Trophy. The best news…both guys will be back in 2022.
