We turned off the lights for another season of College Football in Bryant-Denny Stadium Saturday Night. Bryce Young set the school record for passing yards with the former recorder holder Scott Hunter in the house as honorary Captain. Joe Namath was in the stadium too. When our days are done, I know sports memories will only be flashes of what is really important in our lives, but I am thankful for them. There is joy in those memories. Maybe more importantly, these events bring us together. Every game I get to meet more of our listeners and viewers. I get to see old friends. Bryce Young gave us a story to tell in future gatherings. So I guess in reality, the lights never really go off after a College Football season.
