The Carolina Panthers returned to Sunday Night Football at Bank of America Stadium for the first time in 11 years and delivered, beating the Detroit Lions 32-26.
Young put on a show for a national audience, completing 29 of 41 passes for 329 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions. The performance kept him atop the NFL with 1,268 passing yards through four games, and Panthers fans sent “MVP” chants raining down inside the stadium.
Young’s connection with Tetairoa McMillan was unstoppable. McMillan erupted for career highs with 14 receptions for 192 yards and two touchdowns as Carolina improved to 2-2 and moved into a share of the NFC South lead entering its bye week.
