No. 5 Marcell Reed: 1,770 YDS 15 TD 4 INT 252.9 YPG
Marcell Reed has done it again, and gotten another hard fought win for the Aggies, putting them at 7-0 on the season. Reed has shown signs of peak athleticism as well as having a lot of poise in the pocket and other signs of being a true quarterback. With the weapons he has at receiver, I expect Reed to lead the Aggies to the playoffs and might surprise some people. Texas A&M may possibly get it done this year.
No. 4 John Mateer: 1,567 YDS 7 TD 6 INT 261.2 YPG
Oklahoma started off great this year and it all started with transfer quarterback, John Mateer. Mateer was playing out of his mind but broke his thumb against Auburn resulting in him missing 1 game. Since Mateer has been back, he and the offense have not looked the same. I think they can get back up and moving, but only time will tell if Mateer has got what it truly takes to win.
No. 3 Taylen Green: 1,910 YDS 17TD 9 INT 272.9 YPG
After a hard fought loss to TAMU, Taylen Green still played amazing and showed more signs and freakish athleticism and speed, while also maintaining a good position in the passing game. I think if Green was surrounded by better talent then he would be finding way more success. I think he is and should be in the talk for the Heisman.
No. 2 Ty Simpson: 1,931 YDS 18 TD 1 INT 275.9YPG
Ty Simpson is currently looking like the best player in college football right now. Not only is he playing great, but his team has been dominating tough opponents. I credit a lot of that too his ability to possess the ball and not turn it over. So far this season, Ty has only thrown one interception, having an incredible TD/INT ratio. He and the Crimson Tide have looked unstoppable.
No. 1 Joey Aguilar: 1,948 YDS 15 TD 6 INT 278.3 YPG
The Volunteers have now had 2 tough losses in the SEC. Both coming from Georgia and Alabama, who are really good teams this year. While Tennessee has started to digress, I still think Joey Aguilar is a great QB who deserves to be praised for his skill on the field. This is a very experienced and knowledgeable quarterback, who will most likely get drafted pretty high. Hopefully Aguilar and the Vols can get things going again.
