The SEC’s Receiving Leaders Through Week 6

The SEC’s Receiving Leaders Through Week 6

No. 5 O’Mega Blake: 30 REC, 399 YDS, 3 TD, 79.8 YP

Senior wide receiver O’Mega Blake is currently a cornerstone of the Razorbacks offense. Blake has been an awesome target for Arkansas QB Taylen Green. The combination of these two players has been exciting to watch in the Razorbacks’ offense. I think Blake is a very talented receiver who will continue to play great this season.

No. 4 KC Concepcion: 24 REC, 401 YDS, 5 TD, 80.2 YPG

Texas A&M wideout, KC Concepcion has been flourishing in this Aggies offense and Mike Elko is certainly utilizing him. Concepcion has been a big time target in the red zone for Aggies’ QB Marcel Reed. Concepcion currently has 5 TDs so far which has him ranked among the top 10 in the nation in receiving scores.

No. 3 Ryan Williams: 21 REC, 336 YDS, 3 TD, 84 YPG

A lot of critics would tell you that Germie Bernard is Alabama’s number one receiver right now, and while that may be the case, all statistics point to Ryan Williams. That being said I think Williams is very talented with a lot of potential. But on the other hand, he is also young and can make simple mistakes. I think Ryan Williams will end up becoming a dominant receiver in the future and so far he is off to a great start.

No. 2 Chris Brazzel II: 31 REC, 531 YDS, 7, 106.2 YPG

Well it is no secret who Joey Aguilar’s new favorite target is, with over 30% of his throws going to Brazell. And Brazzell has capitalized on that. Brazzel also sits at the top of this list regarding touchdowns with a total of 7 (which is tied for the most in the country). I think that this new found duo for the Volunteers is going to bring Tennessee football a lot of success in the second half of the season.

No. 1 Mario Craver: 30 REC, 557 YDS, 4 TD, 111.4 YPG

Mario Craver currently sits at the top of this list, and it is all due to his ability to get yards after the catch. Craver does not run a lot of deep, “throw the ball up”, type routes. Craver is very shifty and creative with the ball in his hands. If I were Coach Mike Elko, I’m putting the ball in Mario Craver’s hands every chance I get. And that seems to be working for the Aggies right now.
